Transforming Transportation (TT) is the international forum for exploring challenges and solutions to sustainable urban development and transport and is co-organized by the World Bank and EMBARQ, the sustainable urban transport initiative of World Resource Institute’s Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. In this 13th year of the conference, the theme is Sustainable Transport: From the Global Agenda to Local Change. The objective of the conference is to connect global dialogue with on-the-ground actions in cities that address the opportunity of climate change and urban development. The conference will help us set the agenda for cities to more fully engage in the post-2015 sustainable development goals (SDGs) and post-Paris COP climate discussions, as 2016 will be a momentous year for implementing and moving forward on these international negotiations, with implications for national and local governments and the private sector.
